Image Not Loading on the Website

Missing website images are usually caused by broken file paths, upload issues, permissions, or caching.

HELP-0097 CATEGORY: Troubleshooting

An image failing to load can look like a minor problem, but it often tells you something specific about the file, the path, or the page setup.

In some cases, the image was removed, renamed, or moved after the page was created. In others, the image still exists but the page is pointing to the wrong location. Permissions can also play a role, especially when files are uploaded manually or transferred incorrectly.

Sometimes the image is technically present, but your browser is still showing an older cached version of the page where the file did not exist yet. That is why testing in another browser or device helps.

Another detail to check is whether the issue affects one image or many. A single missing image usually points to a file-specific problem. Multiple missing images may suggest a broader folder, theme, CDN, or media-loading issue.

If you report it, include the page where the image should appear, whether the problem affects all users, and whether the image ever worked previously. A screenshot of the empty area or broken image icon also helps. That gives a much clearer starting point than simply saying the image is missing.
