Payment or Checkout Issue: First Checks

Checkout problems can be caused by payment gateway issues, browser problems, incorrect settings, or session conflicts.

HELP-0101 CATEGORY: Troubleshooting

Payment and checkout issues should be treated seriously because they affect revenue directly, but the cause is not always the same.

Sometimes the problem is with the payment gateway. Sometimes the checkout page itself is misconfigured. Sometimes the user session has expired, the cart has glitched, or the browser is interfering with the process.

Start by identifying where the failure happens. Does the user reach checkout but fail at payment? Does the checkout page refuse to load properly? Does the order not complete even after payment appears successful? These are different scenarios with different causes.

It also helps to test the problem in another browser or device. If it only happens in one environment, then the site may not be fully broken. If it fails consistently everywhere, then it is more urgent.

If you contact us, send the checkout page URL, the time of the failed attempt, the payment method used, whether any error message appeared, and whether this affected one transaction or multiple users. A screenshot is ideal.

Payment issues are not something to describe vaguely. “Checkout is weird” is not enough. The clearer the symptom, the faster we can determine whether the issue is gateway-related, site-related, or session-related.
